HCDC Dance Battle 2011: Just Say No!

I felt so proud after watching the HCDC Dance Battle 2011 because of two things.

Firstly because Holy Cross gave value to the LUPANG HINIRANG video I made when I was a masscom student in Holy Cross of Davao College. I was surprised when I slowly recognized my video during the singing of the national anthem as the event started.OMG! (Buti nalang medyo mailaw, and hindi masyadong kita ang acting namin haha). I acted as Jose Rizal along with my masscom classmates. Thanks to CROSSPHEM organization for using it. I appreciated it so much.

Secondly, the dance battle made me again so proud that I graduated in a school of talented people. I was so delighted to see my school, the gym,the CR's and THE CROWD everytime Holy Cross conducts an event.Memories of being an holycrossian brought back to me and made me realize how far have I gone through.

The dance battle competition in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency aims to promote an idea to fight drug addiction "YES TO DANCE, NO TO DRUGS" and now it's " JUST SAY NO". This is organized by Cross Phem club in supervision with the HCDC Office of the Student Affairs headed by Marlan Jose.

HCDC GYM was filled with roars and cheers as the performers started to heat the dance floor and unleashed their creativity through modern dancing.

The crowd was hyped up when Pilipinas Got Talent qualifiers like the Davao's beat box king Kervy Salazar who amazingly did his voice aerobics. Hello World on the other hand, performed their modern dance interpretation fusing comedy on their unique choreography. (I'm so happy seeing them again after I used to invite them in one of my events in Kisan Lu Lands Inc.

It was also a fun-filled event as Davao comedians who are also holycrossians (Brian C and Dexter) proved that they can really make the crowd laugh with their punchlines and production numbers. They have proven that someday they can be like Vice Ganda or Chocoleit or Pookwang.

Finally, I would say "JUST SAY NO" when drugs invite you!
