People Power Play

Isang malaking tagumpay ng Pilipinas nung pinalayas sa kapangyarihan ang diktadoryang Marcos. Sa buong akala ng karamihan, mabubuo na ang isang matatag na bansa sa kamay ng isang matatag na gobyerno. Nung EDSA 1 makikita at madadama ang pagsasanib ng buong lakas ng sambayanang pilipino. Sina Cory, Ramos at Erap ay umupo bilang pangulo ng bansa subalit ang pagiging isang mahina na bayan ay nangingibabaw pa rin. Nang si ERAP ay naging halimaw at naging gahaman, bumalik ang lakas ng sambayanan at sinipa siya sa pwesto. Pumalit si GMA na syang sentro ngayon ng mga pag aalsa. Isang babaeng presidente na may sapat na kapangyarihan. Pilit man pina pa alis subalit hati ang mga pilipino. Ang oposisyon ay bumubwelta na upang patalsikin si Arroyo. Ngunit pano nila mapapatalsik kung ang bawat isa sa kanila ay may mga sariling hangarin kung si GMA ay mapapatalsik. Ang bawat isa sa kanila ay may layuning papalitan si Arroyo na balang araw sila sila rin ang mag aaway na sya namang magiging suliranin ng bansa.

Are you sure of your "EYES"?

It scares me not but it inspires me much! For how many days of abusing my self for the school's tasks, just this night I watched "THE EYE" starring Jessica Alba. It was not my plan but I have to break and have time for me to rest. Watching movies is one of my unwinding session. "THE EYE" did not scare me because it needs to establish something before scaring the audience. Jessica Alba plays a role of a blind who is dreaming to see the world which drives her sister to put Jess in a surgery. Unfortunately the donor of the eye has strange past which makes Jess life miserable. She sees things that a normal person shouldn't see it is because Ella (donor) had been suffering it before she died. There are lots of twist of elements and situation in the story that made the ending so satisfying. I will tell you, the screenplay is good, the story line is professional but it doesn't scare you! It is a story of how to continue a unfinished business of a soul before leaving the world. It has a strong virtue! That makes the film noteworthy! Really cool!

Despite of the hectic schedule that I am suffering now in my internship, I was still able to find time to embrace the tranquility of this lake somewhere in the national highway (diversion road) of Davao City. Lake Laud is a korean inspired leisure complex where one can rejuvenate and get back all the lost energies in the crowded city. Boating makes your visit perfect. Lake Laud is connected to the lake that also flows to Outland Adventure water site. With its pavilion, one would experience how korean projects their tradition especially eating without chairs. (May kamahalan lang ang food, which means bawal ang mga pulubi) .
If you are brave enough and have a shooting range hobby, just behing Lake Laud, a friendly man made shooting range lies.Guns (45 cal., shot gun.) are also available to those who don't have their own. If you have time to visit Davao, have some time here in Lake Laud!
