This coming Dec 2 na!

This year's Mindanao Film Festival sounds challenging for us owing to the fact that we are not yet done as in 100%. Anyway, I am still inviting you to watch the Guerrilla Filmmaking 5 (Mindanao Film Festival) this coming Dec. 2 at the Gaisano Mall of Davao theatre. Our film is one of the short films that will compete for coveting awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best screenplay etc.)

This is the synopsis of our film "Cha Cha"(Character Change)

To be a nun is what Lala dreamed of. To serve God. To live in the convent. To embrace total peace and devotion. To respond the call within her.
But because she is anchored to her squatter community where she lives and loved by her people, she could not leave her place for she knew they need her help. As children’s friend. As prayer leader. As healer. As a good spiritual and emotional adviser. As her community’s best friend. Even if she is not yet in her vocation, her people called her already as “Sister Lala”.
Brian, 28, a lucky married man who survived from a tragedy and adopted by Sister Lala. Treated as younger brother.Provided with basic needs. But despite of this unconditional love of Sister Lala, Brian didn’t see it.His depression from his tragic past that sent him away from his wife and children who were believed dead plus the forbidden drugs, these pushed him to rape Sister Lala several times and beat her whenever she resisted. So emotional-driven sin!
In the middle of such hellish event on her life, what will an aspiring nun do with a rosary in her right hand (Will she keep her vow?) and a knife for defense at her left hand (Or, will she kill the hindrance?)Nuns don’t kill! But…(what if needed?)
Here comes Caloi,Carlos and Charlie. Her new found friends in an unexpected setting. Her new found answer key to all the questions in the story.
A twist-for-realization story of faith,of patience,of hope,of discipline,of love, of sacrifice,of life and of death with a glimpse to political issues leading to “Character Change"

Mt.Apo:A way to total peace

These pics were taken during our climb last Lenten Clim (Holy Week). My moment with this sacred mountain, is one of the molders of my personality. I've been too weak and fragile. But because of this climb I gained extra courage and self projection stamina. Well, it is not a climbing season but I want to climb Mt.Apo again. I can't wait to wait! The reason? This is because I want to leave all my negative feelings there. Stress. Problems.Negative energies. All these God damn stresses. I want Mt.Apo to refresh me. I want these destructive feelings be gone by its wind. I want to remake my self by its boulders. I want to recreate environment by its nature. I want to be a new me!

I want to punish my self!I want to surrender my sins. I want take risk to challenge my Being. I want to have glasses of sweat to cleanse my internal. I want to be wounded to appreciate life more that pains are just elements of life. I want to climb more heights to see to it that they can't look me down and keep to pull me down. I want to be near to heaven in such a way that my prayers to God will be sent earlier than those who are at the sea level. I want to swim at the Lake Venado so that extreme coldness will make my body numb, thus, pain will not be felt anymore. I want to jump from the peak down to its crater- so I take the resting place of total peace!

INTERNSHIP: The Heaviest Burden!

Now that I just reached the top part of all majors in Mass Communication
(internship) I never thought of such surprise. The Mas Comm family chose me as the Mass Comm Chancellor for this year. What the hell? We are three nominated by our Mass Comm coordinator believing that we passed her standard. And my classmates voted me! Oh my God! Don't you know how hard this responsibility is? It resembles to a Supreme Student Gov president who manages and looks over student affairs. God damn it! I am holding all the HCDC communicators? I am not saying that I can't do it. I am just thinking of dividing my precious time. My classmates and my teacher believe on my capabilities thus I have to fill up their trust. Hmmm I am just pretty nervous for I can no longer find more time to rest. I am into film making, Kabataan Xpress of UniversiTV reporter, School paper's consultant, Blogging, Knights of Rizal reg XI coord. and more! And now, a chancellor? This is a person who will stand as representative of their voices. If one gets wrong, I should have to think to troubleshoot just to see to it that everything in our department free from any cases. Hu! Kaya ko kaya? Wala na akong magawa but to act what is actually the moves of being a chancellor. I don't want to frustrate them. I think I just need accurate time management.. Wahaha I just don't know. What do you think if you were me?Would you pursue?

Durian Cinema: Papaya Dance

Durian Cinema Prod.is a guild of young filmmakers. As one of the heads I am so blessed and proud to have them all. This Papaya Dance snapshot shows our passion in filmmaking even if we are facing too minimal resources. Our group is now busy in filming new short film (written and directed by yours truly) for the coming Mindanao Film Festival to be shown in Gaisano Mall of Davao.(Last year our entry was "BADJAO") This papaya dance is a moment that I could not afford to forget. That time was raining and we were about to shoot a river trekking scene. Because of that rain (kahit maputik) we did not start yet and instead shoot a Papaya Dance to be passed for the Papaya Extreme Dance Video in GKNB? program of Edu (Malay natin makuha to, so 20,000 is a big help for the film wahaha) I will post the Papaya dance video here as soon as we finish editing it.

Word Class Resort:No Entrance Fee?

MASAO BEACH- It's always be the treasure of Mati City. Your visit to Mati won't be completed if you miss to spend time embracing Masao. For how many months of not visiting my ever favorite resort in Mati, just after the 'all souls day' I rushed to this resort for I am missing this place. As you can see, this floating dinning set would really gives you a romantic and relaxing moment eating, chatting and romancing with your partner (Unfortunately, wala akong partner hehe). Facing the rock structured resort, you would really appreciate how nature was formed to give birth to this beach. The western part of pacific ocean is actually connected to its seas. It is really virgin and one would feel a virgin sea.( Free from chemicals). With you family, celebrating birthdays, outing, etc. Masao is a perfect location to make your moments unforgettable. TAKE NOTE: No Entrance Fee! With Php200-300 cottage fee, surrounded with net-based aquarium, its perfect for enjoyment. Where can you see a word class resort with no entrance fee? Only here in Mati City. Boats are also available to tourists who would want to travel to the promising islands of Pujada and Waniban Island. To make your story of visit in Masao, see to it you're bringing a camera along with you to capture every angles of desires. Shoot until the sun sets. If you are planning to taste my ever beach If you are outside Davao City, schedule a flight to Davao. Then from Davao, there is a choice PHP200 fee L3 Van fare or the Php150-200 bus fare from Ecoland Terminal bounding Mati City. 250 km is enough to take glance with hundreds of scenic views. And when you are in Mati, there are rides going to Masao with Php15 only. As soon as you arrived, the people living in the vicinity will welcome you with their smiles of gratitude.

So, filmmakers, I am inviting you to taste this bushel of views for cinematography. I am very sure your film will be one of those who got appreciation for best location for film and also for photography. So, that is why I regret that my film for this coming Mindanao Film Fest 2007 was not shot here in my place owing to the fact that Durian Cinema is guild of young filmmakers in Davao with less resources (mga studyante pa poh..strict ang parents) So, filmmakers again don't miss this place! It really sucks!
Believe me...Spend a little.Leave your Stress. Refresh your Life!
